"Being on the executive board gave me vital lessons in what to do and what not to do when working in a team. It also showed me how to balance friendship with professionalism; while we are all friends with one another, as leading figures in the organization, we also had to set high expectations for our members and exemplify those expectations. It was sometimes difficult to hold our friends accountable in the way they represented our fraternity while also maintaining the camaraderie and loving relationships we developed with them. I feel so lucky to have had that experience as it prepared me really well for leadership roles in my adult life. Without PBL, that experience would not have been possible."
