ABOUT PHI BETA LAMBDA
Re-established at the University of Michigan in 2017, Phi Beta Lambda is a professional business fraternity dedicated to providing college students an opportunity to improve their business acumen, develop valuable leadership skills, network with top business and student leaders across the country, and build an outstanding resume. Ultimately, our mission is to accelerate members’ professional development through a supportive, familial environment leading to internships and careers in desired industries.
Our members have ample opportunity from the beginning of their pledge term to take on over 30 leadership positions and make tangible differences in a rapidly growing organization.
Gain a network of over 80 active brothers and alumni who understand the daily life of a Michigan student to develop long-lasting relationships and find your niche in the professional world.
With 18 majors represented, each brother brings a unique perspective to our organization. Over 60% of our brothers are also pursuing a double major and/or minor in another field.
In Phi Beta Lambda, brothers are exposed to a variety of professional experiences such as networking events, career fairs, presentations from top executives, and assistance with resume building as well as LinkedIn. In the past, executives from companies such as PwC and Quicken Loans have come in to speak exclusively to our brothers. Additionally, our brothers have interned at companies in various industries such as finance, consulting, marketing, and technology.
Phi Beta Lambda is more than a professional network. We host many brotherhood bonding events throughout the year, including formals in Downtown Detroit, painting “The Rock,” potluck dinners, barn dances, and brotherhood trips to SkyZone! By participating in Professional Greek Week, co-hosting social events with other organizations, and more, PBL provides brothers with the opportunity to expand their networks and get to know other students on campus.
Phi Beta Lambda participates in a variety of philanthropic endeavors throughout the year. Our national charity is March of Dimes and we actively support it through a variety of fundraisers such as an annual March Madness bracket tournament. Additionally, PBL is participates in many on campus philanthropy events such as M-Relay and Dance Marathon to bond and make an impact on the larger campus community.
